Localizado por Sanchis (1951: 111) en Mallorca. El mismo refrán mallorquín y explicaciones más profusas se hallan en el DCVB (s. v. monja y frare). Nótese el uso del artículo balear es y sa (del latín IPSU / IPSA) en lugar del literario el y la.
